OUR CREW
Our global, distributed team represents a variety of business lines and is made up of business development, sales, marketing and support professionals, data scientists, software engineers, project managers and finance, HR, and IT professionals. EarthDaily's Global Sales team is nimble and creative, and in preparation for launching frontier and disruptive products and services, we are building a wide and deep customer base for a variety of use cases. We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) - ANZ to join our crew!
All candidates must be eligible to work in their country of residence. THE ROLE
The SDR will be the first in-line to generate new customer relationships, ultimately uncovering the customer’s unique set of business needs, technical requirements, and the stakeholders that they belong to, establishing the groundwork for EDA’s Account Executives to successfully close new business. You should be inquisitive, able to learn new concepts, ideas, terminology, and processes quickly, and use strong communication skills to successfully engage new accounts, convey ideas and value, ultimately converting leads into opportunities and helping to drive new customer revenue for EDA
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain detailed account dossiers for priority accounts, including organisational structure, key stakeholders, procurement processes, budget cycles, and strategic priorities.
- Monitor trigger events across the territory: ASX announcements, executive appointments, sustainability commitments, government tenders, and policy changes that create commercial openings for EarthDaily.
- Track competitor activity and positioning across mining, government, and data infrastructure sectors to inform account and Go-To-Market strategy.
- Research and qualify new accounts to determine fit for EarthDaily’s product and service portfolio, with particular focus on mining/resources and data/platform buyers.
- Generate qualified, early-stage opportunities through targeted outreach informed by account intelligence.
- Pre-qualify opportunities against defined criteria (budget authority, technical fit, timeline, decision process).
- Follow up on inbound enquiries, marketing-qualified leads, conference contacts, and partner referrals with timely, informed responses.
- Facilitate warm introductions between qualified prospects and the appropriate EarthDaily specialist(s) ensuring a structured handover with full context.
- Re-engage previously interested accounts that did not convert, using updated intelligence on their evolving needs and EarthDaily’s expanding capabilities
- Support preparation for and follow-up from key industry events including pre-event target lists, meeting scheduling, and post-event pipeline capture.
- Maintain awareness of the partner and channel ecosystem (industry associations, state development agencies, consultancies) and identify co-engagement opportunities.
- Coordinate with Marketing on ANZ-relevant campaigns, content, and messaging, ensuring regional market context informs global initiatives.
- Maintain accurate, current records in the CRM for all ANZ accounts, contacts, activities, and pipeline movements.
- Document meeting notes, call outcomes, and engagement history to ensure continuity and team visibility.
- Contribute to weekly pipeline reporting with qualitative context on account developments, not only numerical summaries.

YOUR PAST MISSIONS
- University degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related field; and/or,
- University degree or equivalent in technical areas (Remote Sensing, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautic, Physics, Geology, Geography etc.)
YOUR TOOLKIT
- Experience in a customer-facing role involving SaaS, geospatial, or complex technical solutions
- Familiarity with enterprise and government account structures in Australia and/or New Zealand
- Demonstrated ability to research, qualify, and develop accounts through intelligence-led engagement rather than volume-based outbound
- Experience collaborating with internal subject-matter experts and cross-functional teams to progress opportunities
- Vertical-specific knowledge is an asset, particularly in mining/resources, government procurement, earth observation, or data infrastructure
- Understanding of qualification frameworks (BANT, MEDDPICC or equivalent) and structured sales development processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior technical and commercial stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with strong research capability: able to synthesize information from financial reports, tenders, industry publications, and public data into actionable account intelligence
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and a disciplined approach to data hygiene
- Self-directed and able to manage priorities across a diverse territory without close supervision
- Collaborative approach: comfortable working across time zones with technical specialists, sales leadership, and external partners
- Genuine curiosity about Earth observation, geospatial technology, and the sectors EarthDaily serves
- Professional composure and persistence in navigating complex organisational structures and procurement processes

This position has a requirement to travel; in general less than 15 -20% of the time for intercompany training, off-sites, strategic planning, and conferences/trade shows/event attendance.
